Iranian Film Festival, Persian certificate course in preparation at MSU | Vadodara news

Vadodara: MS University signed three MoUs this week. The first MoU was signed between the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mumbai and the University’s Institute of Persian, Arabic and Urdu, said Professor Vanisha Nambiar, deputy director of the International Affairs Office responsible for international exchange and cooperation.
Following the MoU, the department proposes to organize programs, seminars and workshops in cooperation with the Iranian House of Culture Mumbai, said Dr. Ghayasuddin, head of the Persian language.
In addition, joint activities such as the Iranian Film Festival, research on the influence of the Persian language and literature on the language and literature of Gujarati, an exhibition on Iranian art and culture, and short-term online certificate courses and workshops to promote the Persian language and literature are carried out.
Two further MoUs have been signed with the International Beliefs and Values ​​Institute (IBAVI) of Western Washington University (WWU) and other institutes interested in establishing an IBAVI chapter.
Professor Shagufa Kapadia from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and other staff have been associated with IBAVI for more than a decade. She is also on the IBAVI Advisory Board.
“This orientation, as well as the entire IBAVI network around the world, has many advantages for students, teachers and the institution,” she said.
With this MoU, the MSU is also part of an international consortium of Applied Global Studies (AGS). The consortium includes eight countries including the United States, India, Japan, Sweden, Australia, Spain, Ghana and Chile.
