Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi congratulated China on its national holiday and said the strategic and win-win cooperation between the two nations would contribute to real multilateralism.
In a Sunday message to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, the Iranian President commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Raisi said China owes its great successes over the past few decades to its national unity and solidarity and wise leaders like Xi Jinping.
China’s sustained commitment to “development” as a priority on its global political agenda signals the emphasis of the one-China policy on a just and people-centered world order that serves all countries, especially developing countries, the Iranian President added.
Describing Iran and China as two great peace-loving civilizations and comprehensive strategic partners, Raisi said their strategic and win-win cooperation will pave the way for real multilateralism to become a reality.
“The sustained trust between the two countries could well create the basis for cooperation within the framework of the Belt Road Initiative and the comprehensive cooperation plan and transform intra-regional cooperation into development, stability and peace,” he added.
The Iranian President finally expressed the hope that the new era of relations between Tehran and Beijing would mark the expansion of economic, political and cultural cooperation and the implementation of a strategic partnership.
China celebrated its national holiday on October 1st, commemorating the official proclamation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
