Hyderabad: The Iranian Consulate General in Telanganas Hyderabad is holding an Iranian food festival.
Authentic Iranian food such as kebabs, biryani and vegetarian dishes will be served at the festival at Trident Hotel, Madhapur, which runs through October 31st.
Celebrity chef Mona from Iran serves authentic Iranian food here and receives applause from the people of Hyderabad.
In an interview with ANI, Mona said: âWe organized the Iran Food Festival here at the Trident Hotel and everyone enjoyed it very much. At first we started with dinner, but after a great response from the crowd, the management decided to open it for lunch as well. “
âThe restaurant is full all the time. I am really very happy with the response from the audience, âadded Mona.
âThe food festival started on October 25th and so far there has been a great response. Hopefully it will last until October 31st, âsaid Debya, the manager of Trident Hotel Hyderabad.
“We are grateful to the Iranian consulate for developing the idea of ââa food festival that is also a cultural festival,” he added.
Given the response, Debya said the hotel is also planning to extend the festival.
Swarup, who visited the Trident Hotel to try Iranian food, said, âThe food is good. The Iranian palate is different from the Indian palate; the flavors are very different. It takes a while to get used to it, but after a few bites the flavors are nice and smooth. “
âThe food in Hyderabadi is much spicier and full of masala, but the flavors of the Iranian dishes are milder and softer. The breads are very different from the bread you get in Hyderabad, âadded Swarup, suggesting adding Shorba to the Hyderabadi menu.
